References to Mormonism

As a Mormon, and proud of my heritage and the gospel, religion provides me with a stable moral compass to live by. In encompasses civility, honor, humility, confidence, and the knowledge of who I am, why I am here, and where I will go when I die. Here are some great links to some doctrinal books that help further someones knowledge.

It is important that if someone is investigating The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that they read The Book of Mormon first; to receive a foundation of the basics, receive a testimony of the book and Joseph Smith, receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost through baptism in to the LDS church, then, and only then, will the doors of heaven reveal themselves to you. “Knock and it shall be opened unto you”. There is argument that a conscience or Spirt of the Lord helps to reveal the truth of all things, only through The Gift of the Holy Ghost in it’s completeness can yield a wider breadth of knowledge and understanding.

Turn On/Off Indenting Bullets in MS Office

Have you accidentally turned off the ability to indent your bullets with tab and shift-tab? I did. And it was a very obscure solution to turn it back on. Here is the Word 2007 version to turn it back on (or off, if you’re having troubles getting the formatting just right). The Office Button is where you open/save/print files and find other Word options.

A Clear Relationship with your Lord

I am a religious person. I am Mormon (a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). This will be one of a few writings in this category and I hope to add some personal standings that will enlighten others and prescribe my testimony. Any comments are my own and not official statements of the Church. If you want to know if it’s true for yourself, search, study, and pray.

I have strong convictions in my beliefs and what is taught by the prophets of the Church, both ancient and modern. I have studied many other other religions, not extensively, but enough to have sought out which church will help me fulfill my mission on earth and know about life beyond the grave. To receive baptism, additional covenants, and to obtain promises from the Almight above that will help me to live with my Family forever through live, modern day activity, and miracles. No other religion purports or offer this. This is the only church that even dares hint at the gesture. But it’s more than even that! It’s TRUE.

In a devotional address given at Brigham Young University by the late Bruce R. McConkie on March 2, 1982 he mentions some of the doctrinal points that are a foundation of a clear and concise relationship with our Lord. Our Lord in this context is in relation to our elder brother, the Saviour Jesus Christ. His Father, and our Father have a different relationship. It’s the same in that they belong to the Trinity and have one purpose and goal to “bring to life the immortality and eternal life of man”. But they are different personages and just as I have a different relationship with my earthly father and brother, do I have have different relationships with my Heavernly Father and Heavenly Brother.

This is one of the best articles I have read that helps to make some distinctions.

Why do I express this opinion? Because it clarifies our position with each of the two Beings and how we interact with Them.
